How Public Group Statistics And Rankings Work
Exactly what counts, what stays private, and why a confirmed shared run is counted once for the crew.
A group is more than the sum of its members’ personal histories. Public crew statistics describe records logged in that group. They do not import everything a member accomplished before joining, or everything that member keeps in a personal tracker.
Two Independent Publishing Choices
In Group Settings, an owner or group admin can enable Show Group Statistics Publicly. This publishes the group’s name, description, image, member count, and aggregate results. Include Group in Community Leaderboards is a second choice and requires public statistics. Both choices begin off for existing groups.
Recruitment is separate. An invitation-only crew can share aggregate achievements while keeping membership by invitation. A recruiting crew can stay out of rankings. Before publishing, tell the crew what will be visible and check that the group description is suitable for anyone to read.
What Each Number Measures
Maps played counts distinct physical map entries with a matching group record. Main quests completed counts distinct eligible quest entries marked completed in matching records. A returning map in another game edition is a different entry. A multi-map Super Easter Egg is a quest entry, not an additional physical map played.
Runs logged counts group records whose type is run; achievement-only entries do not inflate that activity measure. Highest round and fastest main quest use the matching run values after filtering. Unknown rounds or times cannot become zero-valued winning results. Manual progress checkboxes alone do not create public group records.
One Shared Attempt, One Record
When a shared run has several participants and several confirmations, the group still has one run. Participant confirmations do not multiply its score. Personal copies associated with that group run do not add extra crew credit either.
Imagine a crew has three Liberty Falls clears and one Terminus clear. Those records represent two distinct completed quest entries, not four. If all four entries are runs, Runs Logged shows four. If another member joins with twenty personal clears, those personal records do not change the crew’s totals.
Fair Comparisons And Pagination
Use main quests or maps played to compare breadth. Use runs logged to explore activity rather than skill. For a time or round ranking, select the map, mode, and exact party size. For a Super Easter Egg, choose Full Super EE or Buried Finale as well. These represent different starting conditions.
The database ranks all matching opted-in groups before returning a page. Loading more reveals the next results; it does not recalculate a league from only the cards already on your screen. Equal scores share a rank, and the next rank can skip a number after a tie. Rankings can move as crews update records.
What Publishing Does Not Reveal
The public response excludes individual member identities, chat, invitations, schedules, run notes, raw run histories, and Discord access links. Member count is an aggregate number. Publishing crew statistics does not change any member’s personal profile settings.
Turning off public statistics also turns off leaderboard participation. Subsequent public requests no longer return that group’s statistics, and open views refresh periodically. Information someone already viewed or saved cannot be recalled. Site moderation can remove a public listing; suspected abuse can be reported by signed-in members.
