Cookies & Analytics
Effective September 8, 2026
Essential Storage
Atlas uses an HttpOnly session cookie for sign-in, expiring after seven days, and a short-lived OAuth state cookie to protect the login flow. Interface preferences may use browser storage to remember the Connect view or selected group. These are used to provide requested features, not for advertising.
Guest progress is temporary in the current browser session and is not an account backup. Clearing browser storage or signing out may reset interface preferences.
Analytics And Performance
Optional Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights are prepared but disabled by default. When enabled, they measure permitted page visits and performance, not chat contents or player profiles. Atlas strips query strings and fragments and excludes Connect, Settings, admin, account, and unknown routes from client telemetry.
Vercel describes Web Analytics as cookie-free. Cookie-free does not mean no data processing or a universal exemption from privacy obligations. Before activation, the operator must review the target regions, disclosures, provider configuration, and any required consent.
Ads And External Content
Advertisement boxes are reserved spaces only. No advertising scripts, targeting, or ad-network cookies are active. Enabling an ad network is a separate future change requiring updated disclosures and appropriate consent controls.
External links, YouTube content, Discord, and publicly hosted images can make requests to third parties. Their storage and tracking practices are governed by their own policies.
